The Cleveland Browns have hired Rob Chudzinski as their new head coach

The Cleveland Browns have hired 44-year old Rob Chudzinski as their new head coach.  He has yet to be a head coach anywhere yet in his coaching career.  He started his coaching career in the NFL with the Browns in 2004 as their TEs coach.  He then went on to San Diego, to be the Chargers’ TE coach in 2005-06.  Chudzinski came back to the Browns in 2007-08 at the offensive coordinator.  The Browns had a really good offense in 2007, as Chudzinski turned Derek Anderson into a Pro Bowl QB.  He returned to the Chargers in 2009-10 as the TEs/Assistant head coach.  Finally, he was the Panthers’ offensive coordinator in 2011-12, as he coached up Cam Newton and the rest of the offense.  I like this hire for the Browns as the offense is going to be much more exciting with him in charge, especially if he brings Norv Turner in as the new offensive coordinator.

I agree with you Craig. Turner is going to call all of the plays, which has me excited. Ray Horton was also a good hire as the Browns will have a more aggressive and blitzing defense.
