27-year old lefty RF Shin Soo-Choo is off to a outstanding start of the 2010 season for the Cleveland Indians. Choo has played in 18 games this season for the Indians and he is 20 for 64 (.313 avg, .983 OPS) with 10 runs scored, 4 homers, 13 RBIs and 2 stolen bases. Choo is the only Indians’ hitter with more than 7 RBIs so far this season which is pretty amazing when you think about it. One thing that I have noticed with Choo is that not many pitchers are taking him on. He has walked 13 times already this season while whiffing 18 times. I think the strikeouts are coming so fast because Choo might be putting a lot of pressure on himself due to the fact that no one is hitting well behind him. If Choo starts getting some protection from behind in the batting order he is going to really go off soon as he might just be the most talented hitter on the Indians over Grady Sizemore.
