The Cleveland Indians have signed 27-year old lefty swinging outfielder Travis Buck to a minor league deal. Buck played in 14 games for the A’s last season and he was 7 of 42 (.167 avg, .541 OPS) with 6 runs scored, 1 homer, 2 RBIs and 1 stolen base. Buck has now played in 170 games in his first four years in the majors and he is 147 of 587 (.250 avg, .755 OPS) with 74 runs scored, 18 homers, 71 RBIs and 7 stolen bases. Buck is still young enough to bounce back for the Indians as he was once a very highly thought of prospect with the A’s. I like this move for the Indians.
