29-year old lefty swinging 1B Casey Kotchman has been as good as advertised with a glove on his hand, but he has been awful with a bat in it so far this year.  Kotchman has played in 4 games for the Indians so far this year and he was 2 for 21 (.095 avg, .190 OPS) with 2 runs scored, 0 homers and 1 RBI.  He seems to be putting a lot of pressure on himself as he is hacking at the plate as he hasn’t walked so far this year.  Kotchman is hitting the ball as he has only whiffed 2 times, so maybe he’ll snap out of his funk soon.
