The Cleveland Indians lose CF LeVon Washington for the next couple of months

The Cleveland Indians will be without 20-year old lefty swinging CF LeVon Washington for the next 2-4 months due to right hip surgery.  Washington came into this season as the Tribe’s #19 prospect according to Baseball America.  Washington has played in 6 games in A-ball for the Indians this year and he is 11 of 25 (.440 avg, 1.043 OPS) with 8 runs scored, 0 homers and 1 RBI.  He has now played in 88 games in his first three years in the minors for the Indians and he is 80 for 332 (.241 avg, .689 OPS) with 43 runs scored, 4 homers, 24 RBIs and 16 stolen bases.
