The Cleveland Indians have claimed Blake Wood off of waivers
The Indians have claimed 27-year old righty reliever Blake Wood off of waivers from the Royals. He missed all of last season due to him undergoing Tommy John Surgery last May. Wood has pitched in 106 games (0 starts) in his first two years in the majors and he is 6-6 with 1 save, a 4.30 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP. Wood could help the Indians’ bullpen in 2013, if he can stay healthy.
