The Cleveland Indians have re-signed Hector Rondon
The Indians have re-signed 24-year old righty starter/reliever Hector Rondon to a minor league deal. Rondon pitched in only 4 games (2 starts) in Rookie and AA-ball for the Indians last year and he was 0-0 with a 1.29 ERA and a 0.86 WHIP. He has now pitched in 105 games (101 starts) in his first 7 years in the minors and he is 33-33 with a 4.16 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP. Rondon still isn’t all the way back from Tommy John Surgery which he had in 2011.
UPDATE: (12/6/2012) – The Indians have lost Hector Rondon in the Rule 5 Draft to the Chicago Cubs.
