The Cleveland Indians sign Brett Myers
The Indians have signed 32-year old righty Brett Myers to a 1-year deal with a club option for 2014. Myers pitched in 70 games (0 starts) for the White Sox and Astros last year in which he was 3-8 with 19 saves, a 3.31 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP. He has now pitched in 377 games (249 starts) in his first 11 years in the majors and he is 97-93 with 40 saves, a 4.20 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP. The Indians are planning to convert Myers back into a starting pitcher. He has won at least 10 games in a season six times so far in his major league career. I like this move for the Tribe as they continue to build for 2013.
