The Indians have signed 31-year old righty swinging catcher Omir Santos to a minor league deal.  Santos played in 3 games for the Tigers last year and he was 1 for 8 (.125 avg, .236 OPS) with 1 RBI.  He also played in 61 games in AAA-ball for the Rockies and Tigers last year and he was 63 of 203 (.310 avg, .746 OPS) with 19 runs scored, 2 homers and 30 RBIs.  Santos has now played in 121 games in his first four years in the majors and he is 80 of 321 (.249 avg, .646 OPS) with 29 runs scored, 7 homers and 41 RBIs.  The Indians love to sign veteran catchers to handle their young pitchers in the minors, so this is a good pickup for them.
