The Cleveland Indians have swooped in and they have signed 30-year old lefty swinging CF Michael Bourn to a 4-year, $48 million dollar deal.  He also has a vesting option worth $12 million bucks for the 2017 season if he has 550 or more plate appearances in 2016.  Bourn played in 155 games for the Braves last year and he was 171 of 624 (.274 avg, .739 OPS) with 96 runs scored, 9 homers, 57 RBIs and 42 stolen bases.  He has now played in 871 games in his first seven years in the majors and he is 820 of 3,015 (.272 avg, .704 OPS) with 459 runs scored, 22 homers, 215 RBIs and 276 stolen bases.  Bourn is one of the best defensive center fielders on the planet Earth.  Signing him will have a domino effect in the Indians’ lineup with Drew Stubbs shifting to RF, Nick Swisher from RF to 1B and Mark Reynolds shifting from 1B to DH.  This was an outstanding move for the Cleveland Indians.
