The over/under for Cleveland Indians wins in 2012 is 78.5.  The Indians were 80-82 last year.  The Indians added Casey Kotchman to play 1B in 2012 and they will have Shin-Soo Choo and Jason Kipnis from the start of the season.  The Indians also added Kevin Slowey and Derek Lowe in deals over the winter to bolster the starting rotation.  I like the Indians to finish slightly over .500 in 2012, so I would bet on the over.

The Cleveland Indians did very little to try to improve the team in 2010 and they brought in the manager with the 29th lowest winning % of all the managers starting this year. Only Brad Mills of the Astros has a lower W/L% than Acta and that’s because he is 0-0. The Indians are just putting too much faith in a very poor pitching staff. For the Indians to win more than 74.5 games they will need Jake Westbrook to stay healthy all year and for Fausto Carmona to get his groove back. I just don’t see either of those things happening. The only reason I don’t think the Indians will finish last in the A.L. Central is because I think they are going to score a lot of runs in 2010. I will pick the Indians for 4th place in the A.L. Central and I would bet on the under on the win total.
