22-year old righty starting pitcher Trevor Bauer has a bright future, but the Indians aren’t likely going to call him up in September unless a starting pitcher or two get injured. He pitched in 4 games (all starts) earlier this year for the Indians and he was 1-2 with a 5.29 ERA and a 1.82 WHIP. He has also pitched in 21 games (all starts) in AAA-ball for the Tribe this year and he is 6-6 with a 4.18 ERA and a 1.56 WHIP. He has given up 115 hits and whiffed 101 batters in his first 116 1/3 innings in the minors so far this year, but he has walked 66 batters and that is way too many. Bauer will have a good shot of making the rotation next spring if he can just tighten up his control.
