The Cleveland Indians have re-signed 34-year old righty swinging catcher Guillermo Quiroz to a minor league deal. Quiroz played in 75 games in AAA-ball for the Tribe last year and he was 72 of 273 (.264 avg, .761 OPS) with 41 runs scored, 11 homers and 38 RBI. He last played in the show back in 2014 for the Giants. Quiroz has now played in 148 games in his first 10 years in the show and he is 69 of 346 (.199 avg, .533 OPS) with 24 runs scored, 3 homers, 34 RBI and 1 stolen base. This was a depth signing for the Tribe and little more.
